    Abortion

    1. Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
    - Pro-choice

    2. Other or expanded principles
    - I do support some restrictions on abortion, such as preventing abortions in the third trimester unless the mother's life is in danger.

    Budget

    1. In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
    - Yes

    2. In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
    - Yes

    3. Other or expanded principles
    - I support a reduction in spending on weapons systems, but increased funding for troop readiness and cyber defense.

    Campaign Finance

    1. Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
    - Yes

    2. Other or expanded principles
    - No Answer

    Economy

    1. Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
    - No

    2. Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
    - No

    3. Other or expanded principles
    - No Answer

    Education

    1. Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
    - Yes

    2. Other or expanded principles
    - I believe that there should be minimum federal education standards to which states must adhere. If a state would like to exceed those standards, the state should have the right to do so.

    Energy & Environment

    1. Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
    - No

    2. Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
    - Yes

    3. Other or expanded principles
    - Ideally, the federal government would encourage the development of renewable energy sources, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, by taxing natural resources (i.e. fossil fuels) used in the production of energy. This would not only be more efficient, but better for the federal budget.

    Guns

    1. Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
    - Yes

    2. Other or expanded principles
    - I support 2nd Amendment rights for responsible gun owners, but recognize the need for basic regulations that keep guns out of the hands of violent individuals or those with mental health issues.

    1. Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
    - Yes

    2. Other or expanded principles

    1. Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?

    Administrative Priorities

Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
    - My top priority is to reduce the extreme level of income disparity in the United States. I would do this with a comprehensive economic policy that includes: raising the minimum wage, tax reform (that benefits the working poor, the middle class, and small businesses), trade reform, and immigration reform. My secondary priorities are to protect the environment and balance the federal budget.
