Addie Lee Green

Addie Lee Green (Democrat) is a candidate for Mississippi Treasurer. Green is running in the primary on August 6, 2019. The general election is November 5, 2019.

Green is a career public servant and community activist based in Bolton, Miss. She previously served as the city's election commissioner and as an alderwoman.

Some of her efforts as a volunteer and political activist efforts have included serving as president and youth organizer for the region NAACP branch as well as a member of the national steering committee for Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton. Before she retired from the Packard Electric-Division of General Motors, she was a member of the International Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried, Machine and Furniture Workers (IUE) and even served locally as IUE 968 president.

Green attended Utica Junior College and at Jackson State University, where she studied sociology.
