Angel Sanchez

Nonpartisan Party

Angel Sanchez (Republican) was a candidate who sought election to the Wisconsin State Assembly to represent District 8. Sanchez lost the general election on November 6, 2018, after advancing from the primary on August 14, 2018.


Sanchez was a 2016 nonpartisan candidate for District 12 of the Milwaukee City Council in Wisconsin. He was defeated by incumbent Jose G. Perez in the general election on April 5, 2016. Sanchez previously represented District 12 for one term on the Milwaukee City Council.

Sanchez was born on July 25, 1969, in Burlington, Wis. He attended South Division High School in Milwaukee. He received a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1996. His professional experience includes starting a business, Sanchez Construction Inc., working as a substitute teacher and founding the city's graffiti removal program.
