Ann Rabbitt (Republican) was a candidate who sought election to the New York State Senate to represent District 42. Rabbitt lost the general election on November 6, 2018, after advancing from the primary on September 13, 2018. Rabbitt also ran in the 2018 election as a Conservative Party, Independence Party, and Reform Party candidate.
Rabbitt is a former Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 98 and District 97 from 2004 to December 31, 2013. She resigned to take the position of clerk for Orange County.
