Barbara Smith Warner is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 45. Smith Warner was first appointed to the chamber on December 19, 2013, to replace Michael Dembrow, who resigned to take a position in the Senate. She currently serves as House deputy majority whip. She previously served as assistant majority leader-politics. Smith Warner is running for re-election in the primary on May 15, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Warner earned her B.A. in Foreign Language & International Studies from Gannon University. Her professional experience includes working as a grassroots organizer and trainer, as a field representative for U.S. Senator Ron Wyden and as a precinct committee person.
