- No

2. Instituting mandatory furloughs AND/OR layoffs for state employees?
- No

3. Reducing benefits for Medicaid recipients?
- No

4. An income tax increase on any tax bracket?
- No Answer

5. Other or expanded principles
- I don't support taxation of higher income brackets out of spite, but do believe in progressive income taxes to pay for schools and infrastructure.

- Yes

4. Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls?
- No

5. Other or expanded principles
- Government-issued identification requirements for voting in Colorado is largely a non-issue as the overwhelming majority of our voting is done via mail and not in-person.

Crime & Public Safety

1. Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
- No

2. Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
- Yes

3. Should a minor accused of a violent crime be prosecuted as an adult?
- No Answer

4. Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
- No

5. Other or expanded principles
- I believe prosecution of minors as an adult is highly dependent on the age of the minor and specifics of the crime. I believe certain circumstances should allow for such a prosecution.

- No Answer

4. Should a license be required for gun ownership?
- No Answer

5. Other or expanded principles
- I do not believe more guns in schools is an answer to solving mass shootings at schools. However, I am open to creating a program for teachers to receive training to carry concealed firearms as long as that training includes situational decision making, weapon retention, self-defense, and marksmanship that would allow them to safely use firearms in a crisis situation. I would never compel teachers to carry firearms. I believe graduated gun ownership laws are helpful, a license for a pistol or hunting rifle would be unnecessary but a military-grade weapon license might be appropriate.
