Reason for Seeking Public Office:

Now more than ever, Georgians deserve tax relief. As our Representative, I'll support eliminating the income tax and replace it with a Georgia Fair Tax Plan similar to "Fair Tax" proposals made by Congressman John Linder and Herman Cain. The current income tax hurts production and job creation.

This will mean major tax relief for millions of Georgians, a common sense tax system, and be a significant incentive to employers to relocate to Georgia -- creating thousands of new jobs.

Furthermore, people who currently pay nothing to support state services will finally help shoulder the tax burden for the first time--including tourists and conventioneers, as well as those in the "underground economy' such as illegal immigrants. Currently, law-abiding Georgians pay 100% of all income taxes.

I will also support exempting senior citizens from the consumption tax.

I am running for Representative to continue making a real difference for Georgians and our community. And with your vote and support, I'll keep doing exactly that.

Sincerely,

Barry Fleming
