Bill Wadsworth (Republican) was a candidate who sought election to the Connecticut State Senate to represent District 5. Wadsworth lost the general special election on February 26, 2019.


Wadsworth was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 5 of the Connecticut State Senate. He previously served in the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 21 from 2011 to 2013. He also served as a member of the Farmington Town Council since 2000.

Wadsworth attended Hartford Graduate Center and earned his B.S. in engineering from the University of Connecticut. His professional experience includes working as Vice President of CASLE Corporation, hot air balloon and helicopter pilot. He served in the United States Army as a military policeman.
