Legislative Priorities

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- Medicaid Expansion- We have to many NC Citizens that do not qualify for medicaid, or can not afford to participate in the Healthcare Exchange. We need to find a way to cover these individuals.Equal Pay- Removing gender pay gap would require companies to practice fair pay practices which would come from the company's resources. It would also assist with reducing poverty.School Safety-Mandate school support staff:School Resource Officers, Counselors, Nurses, and Social Workers, in addition to raising teacher pay and reinstating masters pay. Wages are stagnant, a livable wage would help all working people.
