Legislative Priorities

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- Priority 1 is to expand Medicaid to stem our hospital closure rate, provide health care access to 300,000 hard-working Tennesseans, and provide care for people with opioid addictions. Priority 2 is to fully fund our public education system. Our schools need more resources for our children and our teachers need higher pay because they should not have to work second jobs to pay their bills. Priority 3 is to enact gun safety legislation to keep all of our most vulnerable safe in schools, businesses, churches, movie theaters, out on the streets, and in our own homes.
