Dan B. Frankel (b. April 11, 1956) is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 23. He was first elected to the chamber in 1998. He is currently serving as Minority Caucus Chair.

Frankel earned his B.A. in political science from Kenyon College in 1978. He then attended the Certificate Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University. His professional experience includes working as Vice-President of The Frankel Company from 1980 to 1989 and as the Vice-President of Hilb, Rogal & Hamilton, Incorporated.

- PA has failed to fund Higher education at even the rate of inflation. We must dedicate resources to insure the uninsured and respond to the dramatic cuts in Federal Funds for Medicaid. Mass Transit in our cities has faced significant cuts in service and as fuel costs surge and traffic congestion becomes more sever and air quality deteriorates we need to make certain that these systems are viable. Road and bridge infrastructure maintenance has been defered far too long.

Additional funding for health care should include an increase in the cigarette tax and placing a tax on smokeless tobacco products and cigars which are currently tax exempt only in Pennsylania and taxed in 49 other states.
