Campaign Finance

1. Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?

- We should get as much money as possible out of politics So that elected officials aren?t beholden to big donors, and can spend more time listening to real voters and doing their jobs for all of the people.

Economy

- Yes

2. Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- Investing while the economy is good is sensible business; infrastructure and transition to clean energy provides good local jobs. There is little evidence that cutting corporate taxes to stimulate economic growth actually works. If done, it should be means-tested so only those who grow their business actually create jobs, or have the ability to claw them back if they don't meet the goals.

Education

1. Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- Education is a state responsibility, but federal grant programs can provide resources and incentives for states to address special needs and programs that they may not be able to afford. The federal government can ensure a quality education for every citizen, and level the playing field between rural and non-rural areas.

Health Care

1. Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- The ACA was flawed from Day 1 and unless and until we have a better alternative, we should keep it in place and not actively try to sabotage it. We do have better alternatives.

1. Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
- No

2. Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- We have legal structures for addressing the various needs of different kinds of immigrants and asylum-seekers, and we should be using them as Congress intended. DACA kids deserve a path to citizenship that does not derail their lives. For economic migrants we should expand commuter and seasonal visas to accommodate the needs of American farmers and industry.

- Yes

2. Other or expanded principles

National Security

1. Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
- No

2. Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- Military intervention is a symptom of failed administrative policy and diplomacy, and only serves to entrench and further enrage our enemies. We should restore and improve State Department funding, bring back our experienced diplomats, and work harder to negotiate with international partners in good faith.
