David Whitaker is a Democratic member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing District 85. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012. Whitaker serves as State House Minority Whip.

Whitaker earned his B.A. from the University of Mary Washington in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of Arkansas in 1999. His professional experience includes working an attorney. Whitaker served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant from 1983 to 1989.
