Diego M. Bernal is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 123. Bernal was first elected to the chamber in 2015. Bernal is running for re-election in 2018. The primary election took place on March 6, 2018. The general election is being held on November 6, 2018.

Bernal was a member of the San Antonio City Council in the state of Texas, representing District 1 from 2011 to 2014. Bernal resigned from office on November 18, 2014, to run for a seat in the Texas House of Representatives.

Bernal is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. He earned a B.S., an M.S. in social work and a J.D. from the University of Michigan. His professional experience includes working as a social worker and as an attorney.
