Doyle Holmes (Republican) was a candidate who sought election to the Alaska House of Representatives to represent District 10. Holmes lost the general election on November 6, 2018. Holmes was added to the ballot through a nominating petition.
Holmes was a delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention from Alaska. Holmes was one of 11 delegates from Alaska bound by state party rules to support Donald Trump at the convention. As of July 13, 2016, Trump had approximately 1,542 delegates. The winner of the Republican nomination needed the support of 1,237 delegates. Trump formally won the nomination on July 19, 2016.
