Emily Martz (Democrat) was a candidate who sought election to the New York State Senate to represent District 45. Martz lost the general election on November 6, 2018, after advancing from the primary on September 13, 2018. Martz also ran in the 2018 election as a Working Families Party candidate.
Martz was a Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent New York District 21. Martz lost the primary on June 26, 2018.
Martz is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and a former professor at the University of Delaware and Paul Smith’s College. She was later the Director of Operations and Finance at the Adirondack North Country Association, a non-profict economic development organization.
