Legislative Priorities

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- My first priority would be to focus on Medicaid Expansion by accepting the federal funds available, leaving little to no excess to be covered by the state. My second priority would be to increase the salaries of teachers and educators in Tennessee by pushing forward an increase in the portion of the state contribution derived from luxury taxes. My third priority would be to accept the infrastructure grants from the federal government and creating a commission of representatives from the 95 counties to identify infrastructure projects that would enhance economic growth advantages throughout the state with emphasis on rural Tennessee.
