- I will not support any aggregate increased taxes on Montana families. In the last session, government spending increased by 20.6% or $1.85 Billion dollars! Did your family's income increase 20% during that time? We are still a clipboard state for asset management. We literally have a one-line entry system, handwritten on a clipboard, that tracks the trips of our numerous airplanes and 3,000+ vehicles. Taxes are the people's money. Let's get more productive and cut the cost of archaic operations, not take the easy way and increase taxes on hardworking Montana families.

Legislative Priorities

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- I will fight for less government and more jobs: http://www.jonformontana.com/ As a dad, with three kids under five, my pursuit to improve government and grow the economy is about the future. Last term, Montana politicians increased spending 20.6%. My opponent, the incumbent, enabled this massive expansion. Did your income increase 20.6%? I will leverage my business background to ensure that legislative expenditures have a cost-benefit-analysis and, through efficiency gains, we can lower taxes. Second, I will invest in preschool education, technology training, and vocational opportunities. I will also champion public land access, sportsman initiatives, and healthcare cost reduction.
