National Security

1. My answers to both of these questions depend upon the exact specifics of each situation, and diplomacy must always be the first and arguably most important option. Using military force in North Korea could lead to a devastating conflict in the Korean peninsula, for example, so the State Department must continue to pressure the regime there to change. We need a clear strategy and Congressional approval before military force is used.
