Brown was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Indiana. Brown was defeated by Jim Banks in the Republican primary.

Brown attended the University of Notre Dame and received her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. Her professional experience includes working as an attorney, serving on the Fort Wayne City Council, and serving on the Fort Wayne City Plan Commission.
