Lucy McBath (Democrat) is the representative from Georgia's 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House. McBath was elected to the office on November 6, 2018.

She won the election by a 1 percent margin, becoming the first Democratic candidate to win the district since it was re-drawn in 1993.

Prior to her election to the U.S. House, McBath worked as a flight attendant and as a national spokeswoman for Everytown for Gun Safety after her son's death. McBath graduated from Virginia State University with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1982.

McBath's professional experience includes working as a national spokeswoman for Everytown for Gun Safety and working for Delta Airlines. Her son Jordan Davis was shot and killed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2012 after the shooter objected to the music he was playing in his car. She attended Virginia State University.
