Caferro is unable to run for re-election in 2018 to the Montana State Senate because of term limits.

Caferro is a Democratic candidate for District 81 of the Montana House of Representatives. The primary election is being held on June 5, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018. Caferro previously served in the Montana House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011.
