If a school district decides to arm trained and qualified teachers who WANT to be armed, that should be allowed. Our focus, however, needs to be on preventing weapons from getting into our schools. Unobtrusive metal detectors, single entry, improved mental health support for students, and measures to ensure students are engaged must be considered.
