Sam Watford is a Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 80. He was first elected to the chamber in 2014.
Watford served three terms on the Davidson County Board of Commissioners. He also served on the Davidson County Planning and Zoning Board and is the former Liberty GOP Precinct Chairman.
Watford is a Republican candidate for District 29 of the North Carolina State Senate. The primary election is being held on May 8, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Watford attended Western Carolina University from 1971 to 1973, Guilford Technical Institute from 1974 to 1976 and earned a degree in Civil Engineering Technology. His professional experience includes owning Watford Construction Company.
