Sharon Jackson is a Republican member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing District 13. On December 20, 2018, Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) nominated Jackson to fill the vacant seat. She assumed office on January 17, 2019.

Jackson was a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor of Alaska. Jackson lost the primary on August 21, 2018.

Jackson was also a delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention from Alaska. Jackson was one of 11 delegates from Alaska bound by state party rules to support Donald Trump at the convention. As of July 13, 2016, Trump had approximately 1,542 delegates. The winner of the Republican nomination needed the support of 1,237 delegates. Trump formally won the nomination on July 19, 2016.
