Legislative Priorities

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- My priorities for our state are education and healthcare. I believe that a well crafted bill and vote on an education lottery will benefit our schools and students. I believe that Alabamians expect and deserve better. We want to be able to educate, train, recruit and retain the best and brightest in our state. I also believe that our healthcare system (especially rural hospitals) will benefit from an expansion of Medicaid. Money that we've essentially refused in the past has hurt us tremendously. Rural and low income access to healthcare is critical.
