Teresa Benitez-Thompson is a Democratic member of the Nevada State Assembly, representing District 27. She was first elected to the chamber in 2010. Benitez-Thompson currently serves as House majority leader.

Benitez-Thompson earned her M.A. in social work from the University of Michigan. Her professional experience includes working as a hospice social worker and adoption social worker.
