Policy Positions

Wyoming State Legislative Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Abortion & Reproductive

1. Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
- Pro-choice

2. Should abortion be legal when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape?
- Yes

3. Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
- Yes

4. Other or expanded principles
- In my opinion the government has no place over anyone's reproductive rights, I do however believe that tax payer money should not fund abortions but still continue funding the places that do so much for women's health.

Budget, Spending, & Tax

Budget Stabilization:

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing Wyoming's budget.

1. Reducing state employee salaries AND/OR pensions?
- No

2. Instituting mandatory furloughs AND/OR layoffs for state employees?
- Yes

3. Reducing benefits for Medicaid recipients?
- No

4. An income tax increase on any tax bracket?
- No

5. Other or expanded principles
- To balance this budget we need to cut all unnecessary spending and the best way to find that is to audit anyone who receives taxpayer dollars and have them justify all expenditures, anything not justified as necessity will be cut. Before any layoffs are to happen It will be vital that we have a private sector position with comparable pay and benefits, that way we are not jeopardizing anyone's livelihood.

- No

- Yes

3. Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting?
- Yes

4. Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls?

5. Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders, such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?
- Yes

6. Other or expanded principles
- if you kill, we kill you back provided there is undeniable evidence with zero doubt. There's no reason the legalization of marijuana shouldn't be considered. Especially given the many possible medical uses. As well as the potential dollars that can come from sales and industrial uses. If marijuana is to remain illegal then i believe alcohol and cigarettes should also be illegal since those have a proven record of causing harm to people. if the minor shows intent to do the crime then yes.
