Trump in Michigan: "Decades Of Politicians Destroyed Detroit To Build Up Beijing"

President Trump told a crowd in Michigan on Tuesday that he will be a "champion for workers" after "decades of politicians who destroyed Detroit to build up Beijing."

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: We're taking back our country from a sick political class that got rich from selling America out and bleeding America dry. We don't let that happen anymore. We had four great years, the greatest economy in the history of our country. The stock market went up 80%. And we are going to do better now. We learned after years of leaders who sent your money to defend the borders of distant foreign nations. We fight for other nations but not for ourselves. You finally have a president defending our borders and our nation.

After decades of politicians who destroyed Detroit to build up Beijing, you finally have a champion for workers in the White House. Instead of putting China first, I'm putting Michigan first and America first.

After a lifetime of unelected bureaucrats stealing your paychecks, attacking your values, and trampling your freedoms, we are stopping their gravy train, ending their power trip, and telling thousands of corrupt, incompetent, and unnecessary deep state bureaucrats, you are fired. Get the hell out of here, you are fired.

In 100 days, we have delivered the most profound change in Washington in nearly 100 years. I read an editorial today that this is the most consequential presidency in history.

It wasn't even by a group that would normally be supporting us. I think they tend to be on the liberal side. They said it's the most important election. November 5 changed it all. Wait until you see some of these numbers. That is the most consequential election we have had in our country, and what a nice thing. I'm going to start again subscribing to that particular paper, even if I don't read it much, I'm going to subscribe.
