Victor Jordan (Nonpartisan) was a candidate for District 45 member of the New York City Council in New York. Jordan lost the general special election on May 14, 2019. Jordan also filed for the November 2019 special election for the same seat.
Jordan was a Democratic candidate who sought election to the New York State Assembly to represent District 42. Jordan lost the primary on September 13, 2018.
Jordan was a Democratic candidate for District 41 representative on the New York City Council in New York. He was defeated in the primary election on September 12, 2017.
Jordan was also a Democratic candidate for District 42 of the New York State Assembly in 2014 and 2016.
Jordan earned a B.A. in economics and math from Pace University and a J.D. from Albany Law School and completed graduate work in economics at the New School for Social Research.
Jordan's professional experience includes work as an adjunct professor for SUNY-Empire State College, an economics lecturer for the University of Guyana, a trade specialist for the Ministry of Trade & Industry in Trinidad & Tobago, a research fellow for the University of The West Indies, and a high school mathematics teacher for the Boys & Girls High School. He has also served as the chair of the Education Committee and the Land Use Committee for Community Board 17 and a team chief for Community Board 17's Community Emergency Response Team.
