William C. Kortz II is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 38. He was first elected to the chamber in 2006.
Kortz earned his B.A. in criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1977 and his MBA from Duquesne University. His professional experience includes working as operations manager at the Irvin Plant of U.S. Steel.

Priority Issues:
Kortz identifies five main issues he will place particular emphasis on during his tenure in the legislature: economic development in the Mon Valley; property tax reform; increased state funding for education; transportation and infrastructure planning and funding; and government reform. While economic development is his top priority, he will work on many levels to make the 38th District, and all of Western Pennsylvania, a wonderful place to live, work and enjoy time with family and friends.
