Wright's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Education—Helping all Students Reach their Potential
  • Fund early childhood education for every child in Minnesota
  • Ensure all schools have all-day kindergarten Increase funding from early childhood through higher education so all of Minnesota’s students are prepared to succeed
  • Eliminate the achievement gap
  • Support innovative programs in secondary schools so students are ready for tomorrow’s jobs
  • Make public colleges and universities affordable for all including looking at tuition-free for families making less than $125,000/year
  • Increase school counselors and other support staff in public schools

Transportation—Keep our Roads Safe and Envisioning our Future Needs.

  • Make long-term investments to so that our roads and bridges are safer over the next generation
  • Develop a sustainable, comprehensive solution to our transportation challenges that includes efficient, clean transit
  • Invest in efficient and affordable transportation options for schools, workplaces, farmers, and business
  • Ensure that transportation needs are met for all of Minnesota

Economy—Grow Opportunities for ALL Minnesotans, Not Just the Wealthy:

  • Invest in our future workforce through affordable education for both technical training and college
  • Ensure small businesses and minority owned businesses have a level playing field
  • Use state investments to provide good paying jobs in our communities
  • Ensure that hard-working Minnesotans earn enough to live a middle-class lifestyle
  • Invest in broadband, a lifeline for our rural communities
