Personal Details

Barbara Ehardt is a Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 33A. Ehardt was appointed to the chamber by Idaho Governor Butch Otter (R) on December 27, 2017, following the resignation of former officeholder Janet Trujillo. Ehardt is running in the primary election on May 15, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.

Ehardt attended college on basketball scholarships and later worked as a basketball coach for 15 years. She worked as the head women's basketball coach at California State University, Fullerton, before returning to her hometown of Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 2003. Prior to her appointment to the state legislature, Ehardt served on the Idaho Falls City Council.
