On Monday during a virtual online Muslim American summit, former Vice President and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said that schools need to teach more about the "Islamic faith."

“I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done so far and that’s for — thank you for taking the time for watching today,” Biden said to the Emgage Action’s Million Muslim Voters Summit.

“Look, one of the things I think is important, I wish — I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith. I wish we talked about all the great confessional faiths. It’s one of the great confessional faiths. And what people don’t realize is — one of my avocations is theology — don’t realize is we all come from the same root here in terms of our fundamental basic beliefs,” he said.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation, a leftist group that fights God in the public square, including in schools, did not respond to a request for comment.

Republican lawmakers in several states have proposed bills that would require “In God We Trust” to be placed prominently in schools.

In Pennsylvania, every legislative Democrat, including state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta — a prominent Biden supporter — opposed the bill.

“There is nothing currently in law prohibiting schools or other public buildings from doing this,” Kenyatta said in September 2019, The Morning Call reported.

“The question becomes why have we, in my humble opinion, wasted however much time debating something that is not prohibited in law when there are a number of other important things that have not yet come before this committee?”

Leftists contend “In God We Trust” is associated with Christianity, and is tantamount to state-sponsored religion.

Biden has made it his top priority to pander to the far-left progressive base as the 2020 election nears. Last week during a "press briefing," Biden claimed that "we only have 9 years left" to combat climate change before it is two late.

"I know that climate change is a challenge that's going to define our American future," Biden started. "I know meeting the challenge will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to jolt new life into our economy strengthen our global leadership protect our planet for future generations and if I have the honor of being elected president we're not just going to tinker around the edges we're going to make historic investments that will seize the opportunity to meet this moment in history."

"We're going to get to work to living results right away on day one we're gonna reverse Trump's rollbacks of 100 public health and environmental rules and then forge a path to greater ambition," the former Vice President continued. "We're gonna get back into the Paris agreement back into the business of leading the world. We're gonna lock in progress that no future president can roll back or undercut to take us backward again science requires a timetable for measuring progress on climate that isn't three decades or even two."

He concluded: "Science tells us we have nine years before the damage is irreversible so my time travel results is in my first four years as president the jobs that will create the investments will make and the irreversible steps we'll take to mitigate and adapt to the climate change and put our nation on the road to net zero emissions no later than 2015 so let's not waste any more time let's get to work now now. Thank you."
