Chris Blackshear

Chris Blackshear is a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 80. He was first elected to the chamber in a special primary election on January 19, 2016. Since no Democratic candidates filed, Blackshear was declared the winner of the special election and sworn in on January 29, 2016. Blackshear is running for re-election in the primary on June 5, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Blackshear's professional experience includes serving as a member of the Phenix City Council, including a stint as mayor pro tempore. He has worked as a reporter covering Troy University's football team.
