Dem Senator: Hawley, Cruz Could Be Removed From Senate Under The 14th Amendment
January 16, 2021Now that the coup has been completed and Washington D.C. has been transformed into the heavily militarized capital of a banana republic, it is time for punishment to be meted out.
In the week and a half since the brief occupation of the Capitol by Trump supporters and Antifa provocateurs, the full authoritarianism of the ruling Democrat one-party state has emerged with legitimate dissent being redefined as domestic terrorism and sedition.

With Democrat-aligned Silicon Valley tech companies purging President Trump and his supporters as well as banning any suggestions that the election of Joe Biden may have been the product of fraud, Congress is preparing for a purge of its own.
Republican Senators John Hawley of Missouri and Ted Cruz of Texas have been subjected to demonization for their challenge of the certification of the Electoral College and like Trump, blamed for inciting violence resulting in them being vilified and canceled by corporations.
Now they may be canceled right out of their Senate seats using the 14th Amendment, an implied threat made by Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia.
Via The Hill, "Manchin: Removing Hawley, Cruz with 14th Amendment 'should be a consideration'":
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said that the Senate should consider removing Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) via the 14th Amendment over their objections last week to the Electoral College results.
Speaking to PBS’s “Firing Line” Friday night, Manchin said the Senate should explore the option after a violent mob, riled up by President Trump and convinced by Republicans like Hawley and Cruz that the election was fraudulent, ransacked the Capitol in one of the darkest points in American democracy.
“They should look, absolutely. That should be a consideration,” Manchin responded when asked if the 14th Amendment should be triggered. “He understands that, Ted’s a very bright individual, and I get along fine with Ted. But what he did was totally outside of the realm of our responsibilities or our privileges.”
The third section of the 14th Amendment reads that no lawmaker holding office “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

Manchin, a so-called moderate suggested that the two GOP senators could be charged with participating in an insurrection which is what the Dem-media narrative is calling the incident at the Capitol which largely consisted of a bunch of yahoos more concerned with taking selfies than any serious uprising.
The five deaths that occurred that day have been seized on by Democrats to implement sweeping and terrifying new laws that would allow them to liquidate any and all who oppose them under the pretense of a war on domestic terrorism.
The dead include three people who perished from underlying conditions, a policeman who may or may not have been struck with a fire extinguisher, and a white female Air Force veteran who was gunned down in cold blood inside the Capitol.
Much like the Nazis exploited the 1933 torching of the German Reichstag to usher in an era of unthinkable repression including the suspension of civil liberties, habeas corpus, the right to free expression and assembly, so are the Democrats using the mostly peaceful protest to crush their adversaries.
Never let a good crisis go to waste.
If Hawley and Cruz are thrown out of the Senate, disenfranchising millions of Americans in their home states who voted for them, Democrats will have crossed the Rubicon and the purge won't stop with only two scalps on the wall.
There is nothing to stop them either now that hysteria and hatred for President Trump and his supporters have completely burned down the system of checks and balances.
