Lieutenant Governor (2010 - 2016)
When North Dakota's then-Governor, John Hoeven (R), was elected to a seat in the U.S. Senate in 2010, then-Lieutenant Governor Jack Dalrymple became the Governor-designate of North Dakota. In turn, Dalrymple named Drew Wrigley his Lieutenant Governor-designate on November 4, 2010. Both Dalrymple and Wrigley were sworn in on December 7, 2010.
The Dalrymple/Wrigley Administration announced plans to renew focus on building up infrastructure and to remain attentive to fiscal restraint. Wrigley also was charged with developing agri-business and commerce in North Dakota. Additionally, he served as president of the North Dakota State Senate.
