Fifth Democratic primary debate scheduled for Nov. 20

The fifth Democratic presidential primary debate will be held on Nov. 20 in or around Atlanta, the Democratic National Committee announced Tuesday.
The debate will air on cable TV on MSNBC and will be co-hosted by The Washington Post.
So far, eight candidates have qualified for the November debate, according to POLITICO's tracking: Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Tom Steyer, Elizabeth Warren and Andrew Yang. Qualification for the debate closes on Nov. 13, a week before the debate.
An announcement from NBC News said that the location, venue, format and moderators will be announced at a later date. NBC News hosted the first debate, which aired both on NBC's broadcast network and on MSNBC. But the Nov. 20 debate is only scheduled to be aired on cable, live-streaming and on Radio One's network.
To qualify for this debate, candidates need to clear polling and donor thresholds slightly higher than the ones that were set for the fourth debate, which will be held next week. Four candidates who will participate in next week's debate haven't yet qualified for the Nov. 20 debate: Julián Castro, Tulsi Gabbard, Amy Klobuchar and Beto O’Rourke. All four have said they've crossed the donor threshold, but haven't hit the polling threshold yet.
