Gene Davis (b. July 2, 1945) is a Democratic member of the Utah State Senate, representing District 3. He was first elected to the chamber in 1998. Davis currently serves as state Senate minority leader.

Davis previously served as the assistant minority whip from 1998 to 2004. He was the senate minority whip in the 2011-2012 session.

Davis served in the Utah House of Representatives from 1986 to 1998.

Davis earned his LL.B. from LaSalle Extension University. He works in advertising and as a public relations specialist.
