Here's The Wasteful Pork That Nancy Pelosi Is Trying To Sneak Into The New Coronavirus Bill
May 13, 2020As many would have expected, Nancy Pelosi and Democrats are attempting to politicize the latest coronavirus spending bill, creating legislation that includes many items that Democrats have already been pushing to pass for months. Nancy Pelosi revealed a staggering $3 trillion spending plan for Congress on Tuesday that called for a wide range of new propositions, shortly after refusing to conduct bipartisan negotiations with Republicans.
The irresponsible legislation from Nancy Pelosi contained questionable additions to the coronavirus spending bill that was already passed by Congress last month.
Additionally, Nancy Pelosi hopes to provide $3.6 billion “contingency planning, preparation, and resilience of elections for Federal office,” which appears to be an attempt pushing for a national vote-by-mail system for this year’s election.
Check out what IWF reported below:
House Democrats just unveiled a mammoth $3 trillion COVID-19 stimulus package that’s full of increased spending sure to hold back economic progress and push our nation further into unsustainable debt.
Dubbed the Heroes Act, this 1,815-page bill is meant to be CARES Act 2.0 in that it increases spending for coronavirus testing and hospitals, expands unemployment benefits, delivers more stimulus checks, increases welfare programs, and has a host of other giveaways to everyone from farmers to the marijuana industry. It also includes a laundry list of liberal priorities.
If the legislation happened to pass, the federal government would be required to extend unemployment benefits to thousands of individuals with a pay increase of $600, which on top of the money that was already allocated for this purpose, may happen to be a larger payout than what would have originally been possible if the individual happened to still be employed. As a result, many workers would become disincentivized and employers would face extreme difficulty bringing in their employees back for work.
The legislation would also allocate an unwarranted $375 billion bail out for some cities and states, along with another $25 billion for the United States postal service.

Democrats in Congress have been hit with strict opposition from Republican lawmakers including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who has since made it very clear that partisan legislation addressed for the coronavirus will not be tolerated or acknowledged.
While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, McConnell explained that “if we reach a decision, along with the administration to move to another phase, that’ll be the time to interact with Democrats.”
“But what you’ve seen in the House is not something designed to deal with reality but designed to deal with aspirations. This is not a time for aspirational legislation. This is a time for practical response to the coronavirus pandemic,” he added.
Thankfully, the latest legislation introduced by Nancy Pelosi has little to no chance of passing through the chambers of Congress. If brought to a vote in the House, the legislation may have a chance of passing by a slim majority, but the bill will be put to a quick halt in the Senate by Republican leadership.
