Jennifer Hamilton

D
Policy Positions

Hamilton's campaign website highlights the following issues:

  • She wants a world for her children that provides opportunity for all people to have a chance to succeed. She can now instill in her children what was instilled in her at a young age - that hard work and determination are the most essential tools in life; That when this country has given you so much, it is only fair to give back to your country and leave a path for the next generation to follow.
  • So how do we build this path?
  • Jennifer believes that a strong economy is the foundation for this. We need to increase job opportunities, improve our infrastructure and reduce property taxes. Opening up public transportation routes into our communities will also increase and strengthen our local economy. Future home buyers will have access into our communities and our small businesses in LD 24, something that makes our community so special and unique, will thrive. Too often we see these businesses closed and shuttered, when we should be seeing them open and booming. When we have a strong economy, we can afford to increase funding in areas such as education, healthcare and the arts, all which are near and dear to Jennifer’s heart.
  • Jennifer has lived her life knowing that you can't control the way others act, you can only control the way you react. Her reaction to a polarized political climate and a suffering economy was to begin a campaign founded on the promise of working together to strengthen us. We all have differences, yet the success of our community must always remain our number one goal. We will achieve this success by joining together to bridge the divide.
