Linda Chapa LaVia (b. August 16, 1966) is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 83. Chapa LaVia was first elected to the chamber in 2002. LaVia earned her B.A. from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1991. Her professional experience includes owning a small business and working as a real estate broker. She served in the United States Army from 1987 to 1991 and the Illinois National Guard from 1991 to 1996.
