Electoral vote certification on January 6-7, 2021

Jan. 1, 1900

Congress convened a joint session on January 6-7, 2021, to count electoral votes by state and confirm the results of the 2020 presidential election. Smucker voted against certifying the electoral votes from Pennsylvania. The House rejected the objection by a vote of 138-282.
