Legislative Priorities

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- When elected for State House District 21 my top 3 priorities include: expanding Medicaid, increasing funding to public schools, and implementing common sense gun reforms in order to positively affect public safety. I believe that increased funding to public schools by the state can be implemented by more effective balancing tax breaks in other areas. Medicaid Expansion would be funded in part by a rise in the hospital ?bed tax,?? and taxes on managed care plans as well as Federal Funds received as a part of the Affordable Care Act.
