Michael Melerine (Republican Party) is a member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, representing District 4. He assumed office on May 4, 2021. His current term ends on January 8, 2024.
Melerine (Republican Party) won election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 6 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023, after the general election was canceled.
Michael Melerine lives in Shreveport, Louisiana. Melerine earned a B.S. and a J.D. from Louisiana State University in 2010 and 2013, respectively. His career experience includes working as an attorney with the law firm of Seabaugh & Sepulvado, LLC. Melerine has served on the boards of Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana, Rotary of Riverbend-Shreveport, and the Independence Bowl.
