The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 2, 2010. Paul Bussman defeated incumbent Zebulon Little (D) in the November 2 general election. Bussman defeated opponents Tom Beason and Patricia McGriff in the June 1 Republican primary. He defeated McGriff again in a July 13 primary runoff election.
