Oscar Ortiz (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent California's 25th Congressional District. He lost in the primary on March 5, 2024.
Oscar Ortiz earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Stanford University. Ortiz's career experience includes working as the director of education for a local nonprofit that focuses on conservation and environmental education. He was elected to the Indio City Council in 2018 and also served as mayor.
