Over 100 Police Agencies Back Out Of Democrat Convention Security Agreements
July 29, 2020Next month's Democratic National Convention has become a casualty in the party's war on law enforcement.
With Dems openly taking sides with violent rioters, anarchists, and far-left ideologues who demand that police forces be defunded and dismantled, over one hundred police agencies have sent the party a message.
And the message is that when it comes to security at the scaled-down Milwaukee event, that the Democrats are on their own.
According to reports, the police agencies have backed out of agreements to bolster security at the convention due to a directive that would place severe restrictions on how to handle violent mobs that could endanger the safety of officers.

More than 100 police agencies are withdrawing from agreements to send personnel to bolster security at next month's Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, in part because they're concerned about a recent directive ordering police in the city to stop using tear gas to control crowds.
A citizen oversight commission last week directed Milwaukee’s police chief to publicly account for why the department used tear gas during protests in late May and early June after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and to change Milwaukee's police policies to ban the use of tear gas and pepper spray. The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission said in its order that Police Chief Alfonso Morales could be fired if he fails to comply.
That order came amid intense scrutiny of police tactics at protests in Portland, Oregon, and elsewhere.
Since the Milwaukee order was issued, more than 100 law enforcement agencies in Wisconsin and across the country decided against coming to Milwaukee, Morales told WTMJ-TV on Tuesday. They were concerned with directives placed on the police department, including not allowing tear gas or pepper spray, he said.
Morales did not say which agencies would not be coming or how many officers were still expected.

The withdrawal from the security agreements marks another harsh reaction to the party's turn toward the radical agenda of the Marxist-inspired Black Lives Matter which seeks to destroy America's police forces.
Earlier this month, The National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) a group that represents over 1,000 police associations and 241,000 law enforcement officers made it known that Trump is the man best suited to protect the police.

Via Fox News, "National Association of Police Organizations endorses Trump, after backing Biden as VP in '08, '12":
The National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) endorsed President Trump’s reelection Wednesday, praising his “steadfast and very public support” for law enforcement.
NAPO did not endorse a candidate in the 2016 election but endorsed former President Barack Obama and then-Vice President Joe Biden in both the 2008 and 2012 elections.
The organization's fracture with Biden came during the explosion of violence after George Floyd was killed by a rogue Minneapolis cop and Democrats including the candidate did not speak out against the mayhem but instead appeared to tacitly endorse it.
While the Milwaukee convention has been drastically downsized thanks to the hysteria over the coronavirus and the need to keep the rapidly deteriorating Joe Biden locked down and away from public scrutiny, the event could still be targeted by supporters of Bernie Sanders whose candidate was forced out by the DNC in March.
The break between police and the cop-hating Democratic party could be long-lasting.
