Portland Protesters Laugh About Potentially Killing Cops With Bombs
July 31, 2020While speaking to left-wing demonstrators in Portland, Oregon, Daily Caller chief video director Richie McGinniss recorded radical leftists laughing about the idea of killing police officers with explosives.
Shortly after an explosion went off near the federal courthouse in Portland, McGinniss asked the leftists if police officers could have been injured or killed from the blast.
“You guys see that explosion?” McGinniss said.
The protester explained that he had seen “lots of cool explosions.”
“Did you see that one right up against the wall though? That big one?” McGinniss said as he pointed at the courthouse.
“What do you think about that?” McGinniss continued.
After he asked if an explosion like that could hurt or kill police officers, the radical leftist protester replied by giving a thumbs up signal.
“Well, yeah, oh my god, yeah,” the protester said.
“What would you think if that did blow up around the cops, like what if one of the cops died?” McGinniss questioned.
One protester laughed at the idea while the other one said, “F**k it, if one of them cops got killed, good.”

According to liberal Oregon Governor Kate Brown, federal agents in Portland will start a “phased withdrawal” from downtown Portland as the rioting continues.
Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf released a statement saying that he and the Oregon governor had been in contact and they had come up with a plan to end "the violent activity in Portland directed at federal properties and law enforcement officers.”

“That plan includes the robust presence of Oregon State Police in downtown Portland,” Wolf said. “State and local law enforcement will begin securing properties and streets, especially those surrounding federal properties, that have been under nightly attack for the past two months. Oregon State Police will coordinate with Federal Protective Service (FPS) officers to ensure all federal facilities remained protected and secure."
Wold defended President Trump in his message, saying that "violent criminal activity" towards federal agents and property won't be tolerated and that "state and local leaders must step forward and police their communities."
"The Department of Homeland Security will not back down from our legal duty to protect federal law enforcement officers and properties in the face of such criminal behavior," he added.
“President Trump has also made it clear that this Administration is ready and willing to partner with state and local law enforcement to protect every American – and you see that commitment in Portland with this plan. The Department and this Administration will also continue to fulfill its solemn obligation to uphold federal law across the country," Wolf said.

Brown's take on the situation was much different considering she defended the violent rioters and instead spoke out against the federal agents.
“After my discussions with VP Pence and others, the federal government has agreed to withdraw federal officers from Portland. They have acted as an occupying force & brought violence. Starting tomorrow, all Customs and Border Protection & ICE officers will leave downtown Portland,” the governor said in a tweet.
“Our local Oregon State Police officers will be downtown to protect Oregonians' right to free speech and keep the peace. Let's center the Black Lives Matter movement's demands for racial justice and police accountability. It's time for bold action to reform police practices."
Check out what Fox News reported:
Tuesday marked the 62nd consecutive night demonstrations continued in downtown Portland in the wake of George Floyd’s death in police custody in Minneapolis. Portland police officers clashed with demonstrators before federal agents arrived to protect the Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse, Multnomah County Justice Center, and other government buildings the July 4 weekend.
Crowds -- ranging from hundreds to thousands of people -- have tried almost every night to tear down a fence erected to protect the Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse. They’ve set fires and hurled fireworks, Molotov cocktails, and bricks, rocks, and bottles at the agents inside. Authorities this week reinforced the fence by putting concrete highway barriers around it. Federal officers often respond by firing tear gas, pepper balls, and impact munitions.
