President Trump Responds After Two Police Officers Get Shot During Violent Louisville Riots
September 24, 2020The blatantly violent rhetoric from Democrat politicians have resulted in more dire consequences as two Louisville police officers were shot in the line of duty on Wednesday night.
At the time of this article being written, both officers are alive, although one was taken into immediate surgery.
Here's what we currently know according to the Courier-Journal:
Two Louisville Metro Police officers were shot in downtown Louisville Wednesday night, just eight hours after an indictment was returned in the Breonna Taylor case.
Interim LMPD chief Robert Schroeder confirmed two officers were shot and sustained non life-threatening injuries. One officer is in surgery, and the other is alert and in stable condition.
One officer was shot in the abdomen below their bulletproof vest and is in surgery, and a second was shot in the thigh, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
President Trump immediately responded on Twitter, sending his prayers and promising to work with the Governor of Kentucky:
"Praying for the two police officers that were shot tonight in Louisville, Kentucky. The Federal Government stands behind you and is ready to help. Spoke to @GovAndyBeshear and we are prepared to work together, immediately upon request!," President Trump tweeted.
President Trump followed up on that tweet an hour later calling for law and order in our country:
This is still a developing story. We will bring you the condition of the officers as soon as we learn more...
